A co-parenting app: what can you use it for?
A co-parenting app is mainly there to bring together the practical information about your children: custody calendar, expenses, documents and messages.
Find it rather than ask again
A shared space saves you searching for a date in your texts, then a receipt in your emails. For everyday matters, each parent is presumed to have the other’s agreement, but must keep them informed. A shared space makes this easier, as long as it is kept up to date.
Give it a proper try
Set up a week of custody, add an expense and find a document. Check that everything is clear, that access is right and that the app is easy to use on your phone. You can try it on your own, then invite the other parent if you wish.
Keep your expectations realistic
Parentello brings together the custody calendar, messaging, documents and expenses. But the app decides nothing for you: decisions, and the accuracy of the information, remain your responsibility.
Your questions
Is it a mediation service?
No. It is an organisation tool. It does not replace a mediator or a lawyer. If you need help reaching an agreement, family mediation starts with a free information meeting. The APMF directory helps you find a mediator.
Can I start without signing up?
Yes. The guides, the calendar generator and the kit are free and available without an account.
